Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies provides an inhouse uniform service to Police officers and Police staff. The main hub is located at Wymondham and is supported by a smaller hub located at Martlesham Heath. The Uniform Services team provides varying types of uniform and equipment relevant to the role of the officer or staff member.
The successful applicant will receive returned uniform for disposal, measure officers and staff for new and replacement uniform, receive uniform and equipment deliveries, issue uniform and equipment, monitor stock levels and assisting with stocktakes.
It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria:
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to lift/carry large/heavy items up to specified limits
- Full driving licence with the ability to fulfil travel requirements of the role across Norfolk and Suffolk
- Basic keyboard skills with a working knowledge of the MS Office Suite
- Excellent attention to detail
It is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria:
- Previous experience of working in a store’s environment
- Data inputting and retrieval experience
- Experience of team working and customer service
Hours of work are 18.5 per week. This post is offered on a permanent basis.
